GranTurismo MC Centennial Edition
To mark its glorious first centenary, Maserati has produced a car like no other: a masterpiece whose every last detail expresses the legend that is the Marque of the Trident. The GranTurismo MC Centennial Edition is unrivalled in its power, performance and craftsmanship. This is Maserati passion and innovation at its best, sporting all the stunning lines that have made the brand an international design icon since it first sped onto the scene in 1914.
Exterior
Despite its traditional GranTurismo silhouette, this centennial edition stands apart from its forbears. The new Rosso Magma color was designed to achieve the appearance of motion, even when the car is stationary. Applied in three coats, the shade varies subtly depending on the light to reveal deep undertones of purple and blue: perfection at 0km/h. The alternative launch shade, Blu Inchiostro, represents a stunning visual reference to both Maserati’s home city of Bologna and its iconic oval emblem. Five further paintwork colors are also available, ensuring a truly personalised experience for every driver.
Performance
The GranTurismo MC Centennial Edition is powered by the 454 HP, 4.7 litre V8 that first appeared in the GranTurismo Sport, combined with a robotised, 6-speed MC Race Shift gearbox that guarantees superb performance and a top speed of 185 mph. This highly innovative engine is designed to adapt to the driving environment, emitting a discreet purr in an urban setting and powerful roar on the open road.
Hydraulic transmission makes full use of the engine’s power: the auto-adaptive automatic gearbox delivers top performance at low and medium engine speeds without restricting power at high rpm. It also allows gear shifts to be postponed to up to 7.100 rpm, higher revs than almost any other automatic transmission in the world. The model offers three operating modes for responsive sports handling: Normal Automatic, Sport Manual and Race Manual.
Interior
The interior of the GranTurismo MC Centennial Edition rivals the exterior’s statement aesthetic. Visually striking accent panels on the headrests, armrests and steering wheel create a look that is as powerful as it is elegant. The sporty appearance of the interior is enhanced by carbon fiber inserts on the dashboard and seat surrounds, while the celebratory Maserati Centennial logo takes pride of place on the kick plate.
Black is the colour of choice inside the GranTurismo MC Centennial Edition, reflecting the classic design of the racing cars of yesteryear. The edition’s Italian Premium leather upholstery receives an extra touch of luxury from the unusual white double stitching that defines the profiles of the seats and the central tunnel panel. This Maserati design also captivates with its use of texture, pairing the finest leather with the same black carbon fibre that graces the exterior. Three exquisite alternative interiors are available, depending on the chosen paintwork shade.

If a person writes a check without sufficient funds in an associated account to cover it, the check will bounce, or be returned for insufficient funds. Each state has laws regulating how merchants may respond to bounced checks. In Connecticut, the merchant may file a civil suit and press criminal charges if the check writer does not reimburse him for a bounced check after the merchant has sent several notices regarding the matter.
Posted Notice Requirement
Merchants and other business owners who accept checks must post a notice where customers are likely to see it warning them of the potential consequences of writing bad checks. The notice must include the civil penalties that bad check writers may face, the appropriate Connecticut statute number and an advisory that the check writer may also face criminal penalties
Civil and Criminal Penalties
As of 2010, civil courts may require the check writer to reimburse the merchant for the value of the check plus pay up to $750 if he has no back account or $400 if the check is returned for insufficient funds. If the merchant chooses to press criminal charges, the bad check writer may face a fine of up to $1,000 and up to one year in jail. Writing a bad check is a felony charge if the check was for more than $1,000 and a misdemeanor if written for a lesser amount.
Required Written Notices
If a check bounces, the merchant must send the check writer a letter by certified mail at the check writer's last known address or place of business. Usually this letter is sent to the address on the writer's check. The letter must inform the writer that the check was returned ask him to reimburse the merchant for the amount of the check and inform him of the potential criminal or civil penalties if he fails to do so. If the check writers does not respond to the letter within 15 days of receipt, the merchant must send a second letter. This letter must inform the check writer that he has 30 days to reimburse the merchant before the merchant takes legal action against him. Both letters must be written in both English and Spanish.
